Buket KARA

Lecturer / Unit Supervisor

Buket Kara completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University and in the department of International Relations at Anadolu University. She is currently an MA student in the department of English Language Education at Suleyman Demirel University Graduate School of Educational Sciences. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at Biruni University. Buket Kara has been working as an instructor of Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September, 2020.

Tubanur PİRDAL

Lecturer / Unit Supervisor

Tubanur Pirdal completed his Bachelor’s degree (BA) in the department of English Language Teaching at Boğaziçi University. She has finished her master studies in the department of Linguistics. Her study is about “The Effect of Linear Distance and Word Order in the Bilingualism on the Processing of Genitive-Possessive Constructions in Native Language”. She started to work at Ankara Medipol University as an English Instructor in September, 2020. She had two years of experience with young learners and she worked at University of Turkish Aeronautical Association as an English Instructor.

Yeşim UĞURLU ŞEN

Lecturer / Unit Supervisor

Yeşim Uğurlu Şen completed her Bachelor's (BA) degree in English Language Teaching at Gazi University, and Master's (MA) degree in English Language Education at Gazi University Gazi Institute of Education. Her master thesis is on instruction giving practices in EFL classes. She continues her academic studies in foreign language education. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at several universities around Turkey. Yeşim Uğurlu Şen has been working as an instructor at Ankara Medipol University, School of Foreign Languages since April, 2022.

Aysu Esra TURHAN DEMİR

Lecturer

Aysu Esra Turhan Demir received her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in English Language and Literature from Celal Bayar University in 2015. She received her pedagogical formation certificate from Celal Bayar University. She is currently an MA student in the department of English Linguistics at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked at different English courses and universities such as Ankara University, Atılım University. She has been working as an English instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September 2022.

Büşra TOKMAK OOM

Lecturer

Büşra Tokmak Oom completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of American Culture and Literature at Hacettepe University. She is currently having her master’s degree in the department of English Language and Literature at Atılım University. Before joining Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English Instructor at various colleges. Büşra Tokmak Oom has been working as an English instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since January, 2022.

Ebru GÜL

Lecturer

Ebru Gül, started her undergraduate education at Hacettepe University English Language Teaching Department in 2014. During her undergraduate education, she spent two academic semesters at Augsburg University in Augsburg, Germany, with the Erasmus student exchange program. She started her teaching profession at language schools during her undergraduate education. She graduated in 2019. Since her graduation, she has worked with adult groups as well as pre-school, primary school, secondary school, and high school. She taught English to the personnel of the Ministry of Interior within the framework of the project carried out with the United Nations, International Organization for Migration. She has worked as an English instructor at institutions such as Ankara University TÖMER and OSTİM Technical University since 2021. She started her master's degree in "Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language" at Hacettepe University Turkic Studies Institute in 2021. She works on material preparation in language teaching. She has started to work as a lecturer at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September 2022.

Ebru ŞEN

Lecturer

Ebru Şen completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of English Language and Literature at Atatürk University. She had her pedagogical formation certificate at Atatürk University. She is currently doing her Master's degree in English Language Teaching department at İstanbul Medeniyet University. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English teacher and English lecturer at various institutions. She has been working as a lecturer at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since October 2021.

Eda YILDIRIMER

Lecturer

Eda Yıldırımer completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University. She also completed her minor in Sociology at the same University. She is currently an MA student in the department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University.

Elif Merve YALÇIN

Lecturer

Instructor Elif Merve Yalçın holds a Bachelor's (BA) degree in English Language Teaching from Hacettepe University, and she is continuing her Master's (MA) education in Management of Higher Education from Hacettepe University Institute of Educational Sciences. Prior to joining Ankara Medipol University, she taught English and served as a unit coordinator at a private university in Turkey. Since September 2022, Elif Merve Yalçın has been working as an instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages.

Elif YILMAZ

Lecturer

Elif Yılmaz graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Foreign Language Education in 2022 with a bachelor's degree. She is currently an MA student in the department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University. Her academic interests are language acquisition and sentence processing. Elif Yılmaz has been working at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September 2022.

Elif YILMAZ

Lecturer

She graduated from Çankaya University, Department of English Language and Literature (2018) and then completed her master's degree in English Culture and Literature at Atılım University (2021), and worked on fantasy fiction in her master's thesis. Before joining Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at Ostim Technical University. She has been working as an English instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September 2022.

Farah ELMI

Lecturer

Farah Elmi is from and educated in America. He completed two degrees in Mathematics and Statistics, specializing in quantitative research and mathematical analysis. Farah Elmi also has a master’s level Certificate in Education in the area of promoting learning and how to improve the comprehension and information retention of learners. Moreover, Farah Elmi has attained a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration; he, additionally, has a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Farah Elmi has over 20 years of experience in teaching the subjects of English, Mathematics, as well as other subjects. He taught in schools in America and Asia and also taught and worked in Universities in America and Eastern Africa. He is currently an English Language Instructor at the School of Foreign Languages at Ankara Medipol University.

Faramarz Yaşar ABEDİ

Lecturer

Faramarz Yaşar Abedi holds a Bachelor`s (B.A.) degree in Linguistics from Iran Azad University, a Master`s (M.A.) degree in English Language Teaching from Girne American University Institute of Social Sciences, and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Hacettepe University Graduate School of Educational Sciences. His Master`s thesis examined the relationship between reading self-efficacy and reading strategies use among pre-service teachers across four universities. His Ph.D. thesis assessed the need for curriculum development in human rights education for teacher education. His research interests lie in curriculum studies, language education, multilingual education, human rights education, and social justice education. Before joining Ankara Medipol University, he served in different secondary and tertiary level teaching positions nationally and internationally. Since September 2022, Faramarz Yaşar Abedi has been working as an English instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages.

Hande FİDAN

Lecturer

Hande Fidan completed her undergraduate education at the Department of English Language Teaching at Middle East Technical University in Ankara. She studied English Language Teaching at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany as part of a student exchange program. She worked in various institutions before joining Ankara Medipol University and started to work as a lecturer at Ankara Medipol University, School of Foreign Languages English Preparatory Program in September 2022.

Hatice Eslem BAŞAR

Lecturer

Hatice Eslem Başar holds a Bachelor’s (BA) degree in Foreign Language Education and a Minor Degree in International Relations from Middle East Technical University in 2022. She is very interested in English Language Education and Teaching, so during her undergraduate years, she took part as a co-founder in the project called 'METU FLE ELT Talks', in which highly successful academicians took part. Prior to joining Ankara Medipol University, she taught English in various institutions. Eslem Başar has been working as a lecturer in the English Preparatory Program at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September, 2022

Hatice SUMRUK ATEŞGÜL

Lecturer

Hatice Sumruk Ateşgül received her Bachelor’s (BA) degree from Hacettepe University, ELT department. She could not stay away from her college and completed a Master of Arts (MA) program in Teaching Turkish as s Foreign Language at Hacettepe University as well. Moreover, she has been doing her PhD in the same institute. Professionally, some of her research interests are classroom discourse, conversation analysis, material development and Computer/Mobile Assisted Language Learning. Since the beginnig of her career, she has been a participant of several Continuous Professional Development programs, for more than once, such as Lesson Study, Action Research and Reflective Teaching, as well as facilitating Team Teaching as a collaborative classroom practice. She has been working as an English instructor at university level since 2015, and as of 2020, she has been working at Ankara Medipol University.

Gülsevin GÜLERYÜZ KARA

Lecturer

Gülsevin Güleryüz Kara graduated from Bilkent University in 2011 with a BA in English Language and Literature. In 2018, she earned her MA in English literature from METU with a thesis entitled Spatial politics in Nadeem Aslam’s The Wasted Vigil and The Blind Man’s Garden. Having several years of English teaching experience at tertiary level, she holds English Language Teaching Certificate from Hacettepe University, Cambridge CELTA and DELTA Module 1. Currently, she is working on completing her DELTA Module 3 assignment. Her research interests include EAP, critical pedagogy and teacher education. Since September 2022, she has been working as an instructor of English at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages.

Mehmet Şahin

Lecturer

Mehmet Şahin completed his BA Degree at Middle East Technical University, Foreign Language Education department as a High Honor student. He is furthering his academic career in the English Language Teaching MA Program of the same department at METU. Before joining Ankara Medipol University, he had worked as Foreign Language Instructor at several institutions along with İstanbul Okan University. He started working at Ankara Medipol Univesity, School of Foreign Languages as of September 2022.

Nagehan ÖZHİM

Lecturer

Nagehan Özhim holds a Bachelor's Degree (BA) in English Language Teaching. She graduated from Yildiz Technical University, Education Department in 2020. She participated in the Erasmus program during her sophomore year and joined lessons in MidSweden University in Sweden where she also had an internship program. She is currently getting her Master's Degree in Bahcesehir University where she majors in English Language Teaching. She continues her academic studies on teaching skills and online teaching. She has worked in Uskudar University between 2020-2021. She has given speaking, grammar, reading, listening and writing lessons in A2, B1 and B2 levels according to CEFR. Nagehan Özhim has been a lecturer in Medipol University since January 2022.

Natelie OFLAZ

Lecturer

Natalie Oflaz completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of English Language and Literature at International University in Lithuania. She holds a CELTA Certificate from Cambridge University. Before starting work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at several institutions in Ankara. She has been working as an English Instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September, 2022.

Öykü İnal holds a Bachelor's (BA) degree in English Language and Literature from Bilkent University.Prior to joining Ankara Medipol University,she had worked at Ostim Technical University as an English Instructor and a manager of instruction at Berlitz Ankara.Since September 2022, Öykü İnal has been working at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages,English prep programme as an English Instructor

Sema Özarslan completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of English Language Teaching at Anadolu University. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at several universities around Turkey. She holds a DELTA Module 2 Certificate from Cambridge University. Sema Özarslan has been working as an English instructor of Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September, 2020.

Simge ÇAKIR

Lecturer

Simge ÇAKIR holds a Bachelor’s(BA) Degree in Foreign Language Education from Middle East Technical University. Currently, she is conducting her Master’s (MA) studies in English Language Teaching at Başkent University Institute of Educational Sciences. She is interested in linguistics, psycholinguistics, first and second language acquisition. Prior to joining Medipol University, she taught English at a private secondary school and various universities. Since September 2022, Simge ÇAKIR has been working as an instructor.

Zeynep KARGALIOĞLU

Zeynep Kargalıoğlu completed her undergraduate education at Gazi University, Department of English Language Teaching, and completed one semester of her undergraduate education at Jagiellonian University in Poland. She is continuing her master's degree at Gazi Educational Sciences Institute, Department of English Language Education. Before joining Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English teacher/lecturer at various institutions and universities. She has been working as a lecturer at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September 2022.

Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English instructor at several universities. Dilara Yamaç Kara has been working as a lecturer at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September, 2021.

Alper DUYSAK

Alper Duysak completed his Bachelor’s degree (BA) in the department of English Linguistics at Hacettepe University and his Master’s degree (MA) in the department of Management Information Systems at Gazi University. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, he worked as an English teacher and Foreign Languages Coordinator at several private education institutions. Alper Duysak has been working as an Instructor of English at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since October, 2020.

Batuhan ULAŞ

Lecturer

Batuhan Ulaş completed his Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the Department of English Language Teaching at TED University. He is currently working on his MA degree in the Department of English Language Education at TED University Graduate School with a research focus on Mobile-assisted Language Learning. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, he worked as an English instructor at TED University English Language School. Batuhan Ulaş has been working as a lecturer at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since January 2023.

Berna COŞKUNER

Lecturer

Berna Coşkuner completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the department of American Culture and Literature at Bilkent University and her Master’s (MBA) degree at National University in the U.S.A. She got her Celta certificate in Adult learners teaching. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University , she worked as an English instructor at Ankara University Prep school. Berna Coşkuner has been working as an academician at Ankara Medipol University of Foreign Languages since October, 2020.

Büşra Bozdemir completed her Bachelor’s degree (BA) in the department of English Language Teaching at Hacettepe University. She still continues her Master’s degree (MA) in the department of Lifelong Learning and Adult Teaching at Ankara University. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English teacher and Foreign Languages Coordinator at several private education institutions. Tuğçe ÇAR received her Bachelor’s degree from Ankara University, Faculty of Letters, Department of English Language and Literature, and her Master’s degree in the English Language and Culture program at Atılım University. Prior to working in Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English Instructor, English Teacher, Translator, European Union Liaison Officer, Line Manager and International Training and Education Coordinator in various institutions. Tuğçe Çar has been working as an English Instructor at Ankara Medipol University School of Foreign Languages since September, 2022.

Pınar Tuğçe GÜRKAN

Pınar Tuğçe Gürkan completed her Bachelor’s (BA) degree in the Department of English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University. She also completed Linguistics Studies Program at Verona University in Italy. Before starting to work at Ankara Medipol University, she worked as an English Teacher at different institutions and schools.
