The Speaking Club
The Speaking Club serves as a structured group-speaking platform designed to enhance students’ interactive communication skills in English.
It provides students with opportunities to practice English in a collaborative and discussion-based environment. Unlike individual support services, the Speaking Club focuses on group interaction, peer communication, and fluency development through theme-based sessions.
Each session is designed and facilitated by instructors who prepare structured, interest-based lesson plans tailored to specific topics. These topics may include academic themes, contemporary issues, cultural discussions, debate sessions, or skill-focused speaking activities.
The primary objectives of the Speaking Club are to:
- Promote spontaneous and interactive communication
- Develop discussion and argumentation skills
- Increase speaking fluency and confidence
- Encourage critical thinking in English
- Foster peer learning in a supportive environment
Registration and Participation
- Students are required to register for a specific Speaking Club session in advance.
- Registration is based on topic preference and individual interest.
- Each session has limited capacity to ensure active participation and effective group dynamics.
- Students are expected to attend the session for which they have registered and to participate actively in the activities.
The Speaking Club operates in accordance with the following principles:
- Student-centered and interest-driven content design
- Structured lesson planning by instructors
- Equal participation opportunities
- Transparent registration procedures
- Continuous improvement through participant feedback
Through carefully planned, topic-based group sessions, the Speaking Club aims to create an engaging environment where students can develop communicative competence, collaborative skills, and confidence in spoken English.
